Does anyone know when it will be S4C?
I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.

Anyone know if there will be any photos available on the cader-race site? They don't seem to exist at the moment. Must admit I don't remember seeing a photographer. I have seen Alastairs photos on pixmania tho. Had I known someone was taking my photo i'm sure I could've looked a bit speedier!
Anyone thinking of doing this?

It's a 10.5 mile fell race up Cader Idris in North Wales.
How good would your navigating skills have to be? I've not done a race with map and compass yet.
It seems to be marshalled most of the way.
Any advice from people that have done it before?
Cheers.
Ps. I'm not junior! Don't know why it's saying that.

the use of a map and compass are the least of your worries with this race
after a start of a short(ish) uphill road section and a trot around a lake....the route then goes uphill.....a lot to the top of the chair of Idris (Cader)...where you can admire the views, if the weather is clear...before turning around and attempting free fall...with minimal ground contact...back down to Llyn Gwernan (lake) and back down the road to a rapturous applause in Dolgellau main square
Hard (if the weathers crap) race......but Brilliant
Hard Work, Hard Training and Suffering...Race Easy
Amber,
I've done this a few times and on each occasion no navigational skills required and I'm sure in the event of bad weather and mist the route is pretty staight forward (won't say obvious as that is tempting fate!!). Agree with SS with regards to the freefall route back to the lake, only problem is I've usually given it all to get back to the lake and forgetting about the longish run on the roads back to the village.
Onwards and Upwards
