2018 roundup
I've updated the club's website with a summary of last year's attempts and successes - http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/index.php?page=news
As ever it's just qualifying rounds so second rounds such as winter attempts aren't included but there is one winter round that was a qualifying round.

Bob,
Just out of interest, do you know the fastest ACW time?

Ever or last year?
Fastest in recent times, i.e. since things went electronic, is 18:47 in 2016. This might be the fastest ACW round as the only other figure I can come up with at the moment is from the list of fastest ever with John North completing in 19:48 in 1976.

Interesting! Thanks.
I guess ACW isn’t intrinsically slower (or at least not 4 hours slower!), so that just reflects fewer people (and consequently fewer super-fast people) attempting it ACW.

Until recently (i.e. this century) ACW was as popular if not more so than CW. John North's time was the fastest ever until Billy Bland did his first round (not the 13hr56 one) a couple of months later.

Sorry, didn’t want to imply that ACW wasn’t "popular" – I assumed (without looking at the nubers) that because CW came into vogue more recently, and the BG itself has became more popular recently, that CW attempts would naturally dominate the stats. FWIW, I’d be happy with 18:47 or even 19:48 in either direction!
