how far do your garmins get langdale hs at ?
There are 15 tracks on Garmin Connect from 2010 Langdale Horseshoe.
The average distance of these is 19.9 km or 12.4 miles, and the average climb is 1392m or 4568ft.

This compares to the official stats of 14 miles / 4000ft.

Recent recces helped and I got some good lines down off Swirl How and down Wetside Edge, but took a terrific fall in the boggy bit before the road crossing - no damage done but I was truly plastered in the mucky stuff Hit the cut-off in about 1:30 and was slowly picking up pace as we dropped down off Blisco, but unfortunately I slipped on some wet rock and took a really nasty fall, which laid my shin open to the bone. A slow descent down to Blea Tarn and most of the bleeding had stopped by then so I decided to crack on and finish the race, I would like to apologise to anyone who heard me swearing and cursing, I was a bit mad with myself. Think I finished around 3:10(ish), so am a bit fed-up, am sure I could have dipped under 3 hours had it not been for this slight impediment. I was one of the "walking wounded" at end, I'm very grateful to the kind St Johns folks who patched me up.

I had the pleasure of some neat TCP squirted into the hole by a friend (a doctor) before I set off for home, then sat for 5 hours in A & E before getting home around 0200 with an even bigger hole in my leg. They x-rayed it and found some bits of cumbrian fell under the skin, so cut all the jagged edges of skin off then scrubbed it out, quite character-building I thought. Feel like I've been steam-rollered today and have a codeine-hangover from all the painkillers I was given, but no real harm done, most of the swelling has gone down. Think Whernside next Saturday is out of the question though.
It sounds like it must of been you I saw hobbling down Blisco, then. It certainly looked painful. Pleased to here the leg is recovering OK.

Excellent, 7 minutes better than I expected, and my partner met her targets of (a) finishing and (b) not being last. Still pretty rubbish, but as good as can be expected given our complete lack of any training since the Saunders
Hopefully we'll do a bit better in the RAB this weekend...

I wouldn't mind having the finishing time of a few FV50s from that race .....
