    Thanking organisers is great, but I would like to think everyone makes an effort to physically help with a race/event at least once a year.
    I just have this impression that some people do all the organising (and take all the stick) and some, never ever help - but are quick with critisising.
    Until you have been involved on the organising side, it is hard to appreciate the work, stress and sleepless nights that go into an event these days.
    Be great to see a few young whippets, marshalling for 4 hours on top of some godforsaken freezing mountain . That may slow the little beggars up a bit .
    Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

    I marshall a lot of races in London and it's always nice when people thank you as they are going round - I try to recipricate when I'm running, can't thank everyone especially when I'm as breathless as I tend to be at the moment!
