3 down...! . A bit different as it wasn't 3 fell races and bits of me were aching that don't usually ache after a fell race. Great organisation by Rochdale Harriers and a stirling job by all the marshalls

My thanks to the Brown Cow in Norden (especially for having the Copper Dragon on tap . )

Their's nothing like having races on your doorstep !

Thanks to Rochdale for a great day on the hills. Well organised, well marshalled and a friendly atmosphere. I'd forgot how tough this one was!

    Knowl Hill Fell Race 2011

Just to confirm that the Knowl Hill Fell Race is on Sunday, 12th June, 11am in Norden, Rochdale, 6 miles/1300 ft ascent.

The race is part of the Rochdale Harriers Three Day Event (three 6 milers in 3 days, hilly road, MT and fell). There is no problem with doing just the fell race and entering on the day.

Chip butties will be available in the Brown Cow, Norden, where the registration and presentation also takes place.

I was reading something on the Rochdale Harriers site about this possibly being the last year for the 3 day event. Any truth in that BJ ?

It will depend on whether the current organiser wishes to continue, and if not whether a successor can be found. I think the Knowl Hill Fell Race is safe and will continue for many years to come.
