    Midsummer Madness

As with the excellent 3 day series for seniors at next weekends excellent Calder Valleys event there is an excellent opportunity for older juniors. The minimum age for excellent Fri even race is 14 and for excellent Sun race it is the same and on Sat there are the excellent junior races for all age groups which comprise a rather excellent 3 day series for those over 14. The last few years this weekend has clashed with an FRA junior champs race but rather excellently it doesnt this year. Excellent I hear you say, there are prizes for junior series winner. Have ago its excellent. More details on the excellent CVFR website.

To make a minor change to CCR's most excellent post...
The minimum age for Friday's race is actually 12.
But in the 8 years that we've recorded junior age categories there have only been four U14 boys who have done Wicken Hill Whizz:- Brad Traviss, Jack Paige, Tom Jennings and Jack Denton. No U14 girls have ever done it.
