Darn it, I was going to ignore looking at the weather forecast in advance! Yr.no is saying sunshine and showers for Friday in Keswick and cloudy on Saturday, with light winds and relatively warm temperatures.

That can only get worse surely.....

He promised "stunning" weather. Can only be lightning and golf ball size hailstones : so maybe hard hats needed as well.

Good luck stolly and roy. I am trying to get someone to cover my marshalling duties on Saturday at the great north run races so I can repay the favour .

Stolly read detailed PM - am up for helping on leg 3 or other (except probably leg 1 - you may go too fast for me there. - was out till this season for a couple of years post op on Knee, so not very fast..)
If you have an extra supporter on 3 (me) , in addition to one each dedicated, you need to decide policy if you separate - so who carries what: don't want to end in a position that either of you gets to wasdale without kit! Will take my raidlight olmo which has a couple of bottle pouches so could carry a couple of bottles, and some in a bladder for me. Will carry a big front pouch to give handy access to some food for the pair of you if you wish - which has less problems if you do separate, than If I carry kit or the main stash of food for either.

For leg 3, will probably see you off, then go try to grab a few hours kip at dunmail
Presume road support can drop me back there later.

Anyway see PM with contact details - you just need to decide/ explain how you want it done.

I'm only coming because I want to see what Stolly's definition of "stunning" weather is.! I hate to think...

    OK Gents

I was at the Physio yesterday, the leg has returned to its normal colour but is still very swollen, Physio says RICE for another 5 days, it is still painful to walk on, I recon I will be out of the running until end of September.

I and Mrs Tahr are happy to offer road support out of Wasdale and for Honister, I plan to camp in Wasdale on Friday night ready for the Saturday morning arrivals, I will have space for 3 in my motor, I have reserved Jack D one seat, he is supporting Vespa. I will have some food and hot drinks for you guys coming in.

I still have the bottle of champers from my round which the wife left in the car, (I recon she didn’t think it would be needed :w00t: ) I hope to crack it open on Saturday.

Wishing you both all the luck in the world.
