I'll try hitting the darn thing harder....personally I think 20 sec was on the soft side, he could have lost a lot more than that if he has really blown, I guess everyone no needs a portedog not a froome version..

Are you using Internet Explorer 10? Does the problem with the return key only happen online or in general, e.g. does it do it in MS Word?

If you are using IE10, try clicking the compatibility mode button:

I didn't think the riders accepted stuff from the crowd anymore (although unopened cans were an exception) on the off chance it's been doctored, although when you're bonked you'd probably eat anything

Yes, that happened yesterday near the top of a climb. I can't remember who either, it was an unopened one and he put it in the pocket at the back. Maybe it doesn't count as long as he doesn't have any till over the hill

Compared with all those "sling-shots" they get from support cars when they are given drinks and food then Froome's infringement was a minor one.

I wouldn't mind a bit of that rain they had today though

Indeed, Pierre Rolland had at least 3 very " sticky bottle " scenarios. It reminded me of the madison races on the track. He being French, and not winning the stage, will probably mean no punishment.

Results of my personal non scientific experiment - after 80 hilly miles today took a caffiene gell before climbing halifax road out of keighley, and flew (relatively) up it, faster and feeling better than I would expect to with that in my legs - think I am now a gell convert even if it was placebo
And a bonus, using Chrome not IE means the return key is back
