I think this is about the end for any interest I still had in organised athletics (and possibly any serious sport really). Christopher Leigh was right all along I suspect :closed:

If something looks too good to be true it probably is! fits most organised sport perfectly.
Oh I dunno, I still watch a bit of sport.
For me it's a bit like going to the zoo.

Don't tell him! He won't be the same without his outspoken maverick status.
There's a rule of thumb in journalism that says you should switch the headline to see how shocking any news story really is. In this instance the switched headline would be something like "people who get paid lots of money for being faster or stronger DON'T try to cheat". Now that would be shocking.
But, you're right DT. "Sport" is just like wrestling - a form of entertainment. Enjoy it, but realise its flaws.

Can't wait to see the excuses, they're always brilliant. Let's face it , athletics is as bad as cycling was in the beginning of the 2000s. Sprinting is a joke. Has a human ran under 9.95 clean?
Do people think Andy Murray and other tennis players are on drugs ? There has been suspicion about Nadal as he is linked to that dodgy Spanish doctor. Some of the recoveries in the past from Djoko were remarkable, 5 hour semi-final one day and then a 6 hour final against Nadal the next, etc
Were all those blood samples ever recovered or did the Spanish authorities dispose of them in the end? I always thought it odd that they weren't going to allow them to be investigated further. It was claimed that a few Spanish athletes etc were involved.
