    risky fell running locations

As the title suggests, what are the most risky and dangerous routes the uk has to offer ? when i say dangerous, i mean the type of 'if i trip or fall i'm going die' type of location. my thing is that I love the adrenaline you get when totally gripped by a route, whether it be climbing or running. Things like crib Goch for example, where you can just see the danger so clearly if that makes sense ?
The type of thing that requires noting less that total concentration and steel bollocks.

The Cuilin ridge on Skye would rank high, never done it but herd a lot about it. The Devils ridge on the Mamores can be interesting in full winter conditions.

My mate used to be a postman. He once had to walk backwards down ten flights of steps in a tower-block with a fierce dog advancing on him all the way. Incidents like this are why none of the old tower-block races have persisted to the modern era.

For someone like me who is a non climber not keen on heights the Inn Pin and Naismiths route were 'fun', An Teallach too

There are lots of airy ridges about that would fit the bill, more especially in Scotland where they are in abundance. The Aonach Eagach is one that springs to mind especially in winter conditions but nothing ( in my opinion ) compares to the Cullin ridge on Skye which is a fantastic but potentially dangerous excursion. I went to Skye 3 times before eventually managing to complete it , the weather there can be a major factor in a successful trip. Much recommended though !

I still have nightmares about me and a mate doing Aonach Eagach in winter 30+ years ago, inexperienced and ill equipped but we survived somehow, I seem to remember one particularly dodgy icy section, the term f*cking idiots comes to mind

Cuillin Ridge without a doubt. Myself and my husband completed a continuous traverse a few years ago when the kids were very little and left them with my parents. I remember taking out specialist cover on the life insurance just incase one (or both) of us didn't come back!!!!!

Just back from Mauritius. Ran the Plane Champagne to Bel Ombré trail. Dude with the map didn't show. So in true forum fashion I went it alone. I found out that mobs of wild pigs scatter when you bark like a dog. I also got stopped by a chap on a quad bike with a shotgun who wasn't happy that I was trespassing through his employers sugar cane fields. Much smiling and lots of running saw me back at the hotel and enjoying a cool beer.
