This thread is for all those fellrunners who are in people's fantasy teams, and want to give their team leaders the heads up that they're not planning to run key races.
I would have done a lot better at Turner Landscape if I hadn't have slowed down to berate Carl Bell for not running himself. He was being very supportive with his support later on in the race, so I decided not to berate him any further.
But seriously Carl, I hope you're competing again soon.
I've instructed my team not give any info away that might help the opposition... :sneaky:
This takes us back to a question asked a couple of years ago concerning how many of the top level runners are actually on the forum, let alone regular posters; as far as i can see not many. LJ and Longdogs are the only people likely to be posting. Those with their fingers in all the right pies are not likely to give away accurate information lightly knowing what's at stake- Free race entry.
There's also the thorny issue of ne'er-do-wells spamming on here, in an effort to climb the ladder and appear to be capable of crossing swords with the top runners. The last thing we need is another thread getting trolled by the dregs of the fell running scene in a bid for favourable accolades to be heard on start lines up and down the country.
