Starting this weekend and if I had ten-bob to put on it would have to be V.Nibali.

Should be favourite but he has admitted that he's not yet at top form, aiming to peak I think for the Worlds in Italy later in the year. I'm expecting a Colombian winner and with it being an extremely mountainous Vuelta I'm on Betancur.
Looks like the Vuelta will be the swan song for Euskaltel who won't be in the pro peloton next year
Rumour has it that since falling out with Riis and Contador, Tinkov is in negotiations to buy the team for the protour license.
But I think he is planning on building the squad ground up, and re registering it in italy.
So the existing riders are still out of a job, and the orange will still disappear.
It will be sad to see the orange shirts no longer lining the roads on the pyrenean stages of the tour - but it is a long time since I recollect a big stage win there for any of them. I still remember Roberto Laissecka on that lone break to victory - I hate to think how long ago that was!
Anyone know what is happening with Riis legally contesting the exclusion of Contadors ranking points? - Could be problems for Saxo.
With the odds so short on nibali and puerito, I reckon that a place bet on Betancur at 18/1 looks good.
Not that I am a betting man. I only bet on dead certainties. I made a few quid betting Armstrong would say the words "USADA" and "Landis" during his Oprah confession. Idiots at Ladbrokes were giving me several to one on each of them, so I cleaned up on both. How could I refuse!!
Uran may just disobey team orders with the contract finishing, so I would not be surprised to see him leaving Henao if he shows signs of weakness. After all - they can only sack him!

11 summit finishes by my reckoning
Astana by 10sec win day 1 TT
His Nibs already in front but his mate is in Red.
As i suspected Uran may not keep to team orders, and go for it himself. They can hardly sack him!
Hints already, and I bet he thinks he can beat Henao
