Yeah i know it's mad isn't it, there must be something in the water. I didn't realise Wharfedale has such a big following until i started doing bofra events, Helm Hill are pretty strong too. I couldn't shake any of them off yesterday, the lad in front of me slowed for that dodgy descent section after the road and all of a sudden they were on me. I opened my stride out to try and lose them accross the fields but it didn't work, by the time i reached the flat near the wall gap i was ruined and i honestly thought i'd bought it! Luckily i had done just enough and saved a sprint for the end to fight off a girl from Helm Hill, it was a hollow victory though she was obviously far more talented than me. It's definitely a lot of fun racing with the U17s, won't be long before they're all showing me how to crack on!

I agree. Very interesting running with the under 17's. The young lad in front of me, Declan I think, deserves a medal just for the sheer speed he asended. I didn't think he could keep that pace up all the way to the top, but he bloody well did !! And then he was just a blur on the way down. Great fun & a fantastic day out ! Bring on Kilnsey. Will you be there Mr.B ?

Not Kilnsey no, although it is on my to do list so i'll have to book it off one year. I think my next one will be Burnsall, although i might do Hebden if i'm stuck for activities.

Looks good for the future of fell running even if it does mean that I'm further back in the results than ever. I got beaten by my lad, didn't even see him.

I got beaten by your lad too. I could see 'im all t'way 'round but I couldn't catch 'im.

I think I'm better off tekkin photos or mekkin videos than runnin' races these days. Leave it to the young whipper-snappers!

Reeth, just remembered where i've heard that before, serviced some fire extinguishers at the old smithy museum at Gunnerside and had a break in Reeth, lovely little village.

    Reeth Fell Race

Does any one know what time Reeth Fell Race starts tomorrow (26/08/13)? Can't get onto the BOFRA site at the moment.
