It was a very wet night with strong winds down here in Brecon and is shaping up to be a very wet and windy day with limited visibilty on the hills.Looks like another epic year .

Times seem long especially if you discount the racing snakes at the front end. Most of the courses seem to have much shorter second days( for which I am sure people will be very happy) .

In spite of the organisers claim that the area is well drained, with the amount of rain that has fallen yesterday and overnight I expect the ground is very heavy and the streams will be high. The car park field should be fun too, but its at least a downhill exit.

probably the wind will be the major problem. Really quite glad my partner got injured as I really dislike running in strong winds.

Thank god that's over, do people come back and do this a second time ? I'm bolloxed, that's what comes from running with someone 13 years younger (especially when you are 60).
Day 1 had a 4hr leg between checkpoints (for us on the B), couldn't quite see the point in that.
Weather was slightly breezy with the usual Welsh drizzle - normal Beacons stuff.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

2 to 3 yesterday was a very long section! Good course, and really enjoyed day1 despite the weather. But Longdogs and I packed in overnight after our tent became more like a swimming pool.

Oh dear Bill, did it have taped seams? Breezy will be after you if not.
