Any suggestions for parking in Manchester city centre that's not going to cost an arm and a leg, preferably near the Phones4U Arena. We will be in town next Thursday Christmas shopping then off to see Micky Flanagan that night so will want to be parked for about 12 hours
Park further out by one of the Tram line stations would probably be a good idea.
We always park on the site of the former Boddington's Brewery on the corner of Great Ducie Street and Trinity Way directly opposite the Arena. Daytime parking costs £3 for all day but I think they might charge extra for an evening event. It's only a 5 minute walk from there to the northern end of Deansgate. I've always found the Metrolink trams to be prohibitively expensive for a couple or family group.
There is an NCP near Chorlton Street Bus Station that has reasonable off peak rates, I think it's about £3 after 6 o clock

Boddies for me as well on the few times I travel by car. I usually go in on the train though and will be doing so this Saturday to sample some of that pricey Christmas Market food and drink.

If you are using the the Boddington's car park in the evening you might get asked if you are going to the Arena. Say no, otherwise they charge you more.
