That's a nice account, Pete. It brings back fond memories. I seriously considered having another go this year but decided driving 1.5 hours to do a 5+ mile race was a bit extravagant. I must be less enthusiastic/obsessed than I used to be.

Another top race yesterday. Perfect conditions for the cycles, but the runners narrowly won. I'd like to say I helped, but as they say in cricket I "didn't trouble the scorers".

There are some good photos of Sam Watson having snapped his bike in half. https://twitter.com/WoodentopsFR/sta...378564/photo/1

Thanks to John and all the marshals. Provisional results are up: https://www.webscorer.com/racealldetails?raceid=261095

Oh I so loved that race! (but I was at an, even more joyous, FRA 50th Anniversary "Do" at Barley yesterday). I could see Baildon Hill and the trig from my house, and er I have been known to win the odd prize on occasion. As a runner of course. I don't get a factory ride!
