I just about kept up with Jim on leg 1. Skiddaw in 64 mins, windy and claggy a few mins ahead of his schedule, and another couple of mins saved on Calva - we found the direct trod down from the fence corner and a good Caldew crossing. Blencathra, bit of misty wandering near the summit and a head torch battery change lost a few mins, and the steep traverse in to join Halls Fell worked well. 3:10 for the leg.

Fantastic run by Jim.
Felt ok on the first few tops on leg 4 but by Pillar he started winding it up, after Gable it felt like I was in the Borrowdale race!
Completed the leg in 3:50.
The rocks were very slippy underfoot and we had clag until Pillar when we popped out above the cloud and saw a brocken spectre,Jim didn't appreciate my arm waving wanted to know the time.
By Gable the cloud had cleared and managed to keep the torches off until Brandreth.
He also didn't stop at either Wasdale or Honister!
