So Mytholmroyd isn't a canoe slalom course after all?

Now projected for 9.15am Sunday morning.

Hopefully it will pass without incident to the poor folks.

Yes, I've just seen the BBC TV news, with a reporter in Mytholmroyd saying the Calder is still rising. Let's hope it doesn't rise as high as last weekend.

Just a gentle breeze with a drop of rain. Never seen a storm around here.

Dry and only a little breezy here too Stagger.

It seems to me that since the people in suits decided to name the weather fronts, that had the potential to cause disruption/damage, as Storm ????? there has also been an increase in hysteria especially in the press and social media.

We have always had storms that have caused problems and, of course, pre warning is a good thing but since the naming started we seem to have had a few damp squibs.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

It looks like South Wales has got the worst of this one rather than Yorkshire. Although I've just seen a picture of Queen's Park, the main park in the centre of Loughborough, which appears to have acquired a boating lake that wasn't there before.

The few times I crossed the Severn on the A5 between Shrewsbury and Oswestry yesterday, it was very high, well up some of the trees on the banks.
