North Leeds Clubs???

No!! come and join Wharfedale! - we run in the dales at the weekends and usually from a pub on a wed night from ilkley or gargrave or places like that - but I live in Gledhow so we could share the driving!

...and if you pay by cheque you'd never have it cashed 'cos our secretary never get's round to giving the cheques to our treasurer!

I live in Leeds and am a member of Abbey Runners who meet near Lawnswood. We do plenty of off-road stuff,obviously we don't have the fells on our doorstep though.
I'm also a member of Calder Valley. I don't know if it is me who Chris is refering to in the earlier thread ' the guy who bikes over from Leeds '

So much choice! After playing on google and this thread I have learnt about loads of different clubs. Most within easy trot from home or work.

Reckon I will be busy over the next couple of weeks checking them out. See which one I prefer?

I will give a few of you a shout when I am off down if this is okay? Be good to meet other forumites and also people who are regulars to tell me a bit more about the club.

So apart from convinience to training, what makes people choose the clubs they have opted for?

Is it snazzy club house? Socials? Vest? Friends? Costs? quality of training?
