Given the recent post's on this Forum's demise and future this particular thread is an example of how it is worth its weight in gold.
I got so much information about the race, which stood me in good stead for last weekend, and it no doubt helped to get me around in 2hrs 13min which was most pleasing considering I felt crap prior to the race.

A great weekend all round as I stayed over Friday and Saturday night in a camper van that a friend has for sale that she let me try out. Fortunately I wrapped up the M65 category for this year so don't have to "race" Wasdale which is just as well because I tweaked a calf on a recovery run the day after and haven't run since.
When I used to do the odd Lakes race, I looked at the stats for this one and gave it a wide berth

Well done - a great time given your first attempt at the race. One that is hard to judge for pace as all the climbing (and there is a lot of it) is very much front loaded.
Hope the campervan went ok. We wouldn't be without ours.
