I would encourage any RO without a website to make use of fellrace.org.uk. It's really pretty bloomin' good!

1 week to go....Let's get Coniston done....
    Thanks Rhys,

Liking the look of this, i have used facebook event pages for my races this year but may well change next time.

    Cheers

    Hello again everyone

Well, the forecast is a bit off so bring yer best wet and windy weather kit. Full kit checks before you can get your number.

Just lost the use of the parking field, so PLEASE park sensibly. You can use:

    - the National Trust CP down the side of The Fish. Normal charges apply.
    - Very limited hard standing next to Croft House Farm Cafe. First come first served, about 20 spaces max.
    - Alongside the Newlands Pass road above the church. This gets plenty of action in summer, park properly and we'll get loads on there.
    - There is more parking on the Crummock water side of the village. A small car park is on the left. Think it might be NT as well.

    DO NOT USE:
    - The Fish/The Bridge/the other cafe car parks. They are for their guests only.

I appreciate all your understanding and cooperation over this minor hiccup.

Pics up on http://racingsnakes.com/ButtermereSail.php and Facebook. Pics taken on Ard Craggs and Causey Pike in wet and wind! I guess it makes the pictures atmospheric!

A BIG THANKS to Rhys and all his brave marshal's who mad the race happen.

Touching kind words for the memory of Mr Belfield by Hazel at the start and a warm round of applause in memory.

Great race and smashing day out

Nice to meet Maggie May and her Helm Hill friend

Sentiments shared indeed! I think I might have met Maggie May when I went in to survival mode after I failed to put my jacket on soon enough....very slow running for me but it's always fab to run in the Lakes.

One day I'll run Buttermere Sailbeck and the weather will be lovely...one day....

Agreed with both above, thanks to Rhys and all the marshals. A brilliant route, even with an added detour up Grasmoor.

Would be even better in good weather although it does add a certain something to the photos.

    Such a tough day out!

A big well done to all the organisers & marshals on such a testing day. If you can run in that, you can run in owt!

Three Cheers for Rhys and his team:

    1. For bringing this great race back to the Calendar.

    2. For organising exemplary FRA safety requirements.

    3. And in conditions that were sometimes grim, meeting the needs of the various runners who got into difficulty, including me.

Fell running is a great sport and Rhys and his team are the best of people.
