    Fan y Big Horseshoe today

4 hours to go til this great new race - 10.1m and 2200 feet. The weather in the Brecon Beacons is a lot better than yesterday, though if I'm honest, I still cannot see the tops out of the window, and it is still raining, just not as hard as yesterday. There should be a pretty competitive line-up, with Mark Palmer, Andy Jones, Harry Matthews at the sharp end, so it will be interesting to see what kind of times are posted. In these conditions I think Mark P might do about 1:17, but the record should ultimately be under 1:10 when the ground is dry.
    Anyone coming along...?
PS photos from Pen y Fan will be soon!

What an excellent race - 10 miles of pure Beacons blooters, Stan something won in 1:14, Mark Palmer 2nd in 1:16, Harry M right up his jacksie, a London Frontrunner 4th in 1:19, me 5th in 1:20, a Highgate Harrier 6th, Dave Finn, Martin Shaw, etc. And the mother-in-law beat the father-in-law, getting 1st FV60. Must to bed...

Enjoyable race. Bit quick and not gnarly, but a great addition to the local calender.

. . . . . . now Petal, never mind the quick boys, how did the rest of us mortals do ?. . .
