The race (which was due to take place on 14 May) is cancelled.
This is due to a Permit issue and is not in any way connected to the new safety rules.
I don't want to say too much about it just yet as I'm working to try to resolve it for next year's race.
Whaley Waltz is the next Goyt Series race and is still on.
A shame, a cracking evening race.

It is a great shame. I've enjoyed this race for the past few years, but the warning signs were already there last year with Shining Tor itself remaining out of bounds, so I'm not surprised.

It's disappointing but I couldn't resolve it this year. It would have been a nice evening for it too after all this recent weather.
I had some numbered wristbands created for the race - for extra safety - very cool yellow! Will have to get a first airing at the whaley waltz instead.
