Not too windy on top of Wansfell today; the race route descent is going to be a slippery mess once the first dozen or so are through.

One reason I am selling my house is because of the wind. i live on the coast - in Whitehaven - in an area called Kells. My local run is regularly ruined by the strong winds in this area.
The other reason? Whitehaven town is a shithole.
There'll always be some idiot who wants live in a hole like Whitehaven.
You could sell it to the Americans; after all, they did invade Whitehaven in 1778.
Back to the subject of the original post, I only find that wind is a problem when I am cycling to my destination for a particular time, and the wind is in a hurry to go the other way. If I am just out for a leisure ride, I just think of wind as providing some "resistance training".
Was windy yesterday.
Steak pie, gravy, mushy peas and baked beans didn't help.
Trev, try "Wind-eze" they work wonders for my flatulence
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!
The wind made for loads of "touch" penalies at a premier league Canoe Slalom even at Tees Barage on Saturday. Difficult course, and very difficult judging, with poles swinging all over the place.
