We all know that Dom thinks only real men can push a 53-11 but I was interested to read in Riis's autobiography that he sometime asked his mechanic to put a "small" big ring on the front so he could appear to stay on the big ring on mountain climbs and "psych" his rivals who had changed onto the smaller ring.
