Well done Macc Lad - great race - hope it's not the last one for a while!

That was hard work! Don't know if it was the heat or the humidity, but it was a bit of a struggle at times. That grassy descent off the top is belting, and I thought I was going down well until a girl went past me whose feet were a blur!! How do they do that?
Thanks to all who made it happen.
Mr & Mrs Crumblydown, your efforts to come down are much appreciated... just sorry you had to wait around so long!
Macc Ladd - Many Thanks for all you efforts - especially putting up the message on here saying that it was still going ahead.
Particularly liked the groovy wooden results-board with the stickers.
I'd like to see them try that at the London Marathon.
Yes - well done Mr and Mrs Macc Lad, thank you for putting on a great race on Saturday!
I sneaked a look at the Ladies trophy after it had been collected by Jackie Lee after her fine performance. The names on that trophy, Sarah Rowell (twice), Sally Newman, Carol Greenwood and many more, speak volumes about the history of this splendid race. I hope that it has a healthy future as well!

Not in the handbook calendar (it's in the online one though...).
Looks like you might be getting your feet wet this year... "discussions" in progress with the farmers re the route in the lower section.
See.... google map of route
What's that light brown loop that heads SE towards Langley village? And where's the wet bit - I love wet bits!
Sounds fun. It's a shame I'll be missing the race this year (prior engagement) - I've been practising my dive and front crawl after the river crossing at Whaley Waltz.
The brown bit is to show the route we had to use last year. I've marked the river crossing with a waypoint....
You coming over then welsh harrier?...
I'm determined to do it this year - last year I couldn't find the start in time, pathetic. Plotting the route on google maps is a great idea - I hope we see more of this.
Can't fail to find the start now... sob...
