I'm getting a lot of static work in at the moment, not like i'm too busy running! I've progressed up to 160 single leg knee dips on a BOSU with a 5kg weight in my hand, i'm such an animal, a walking talking knee drop machine. Might get cleared for a run on thursday.

Boom, first run back from the self-inflicted, non-running related hip thing. 5.5m/830'

Me and a mate had a run round in the rain, started from Hubberholme. I was going well up to the first climb out of Yockenthwaite, what a stinger! I usually monster that one. I was blowing a bit on the last half mile into Hubberholme from Cray Gill, my mate was kicking on and she could have dropped me tbh, i'm really unfit! Wharfedale Blonde on draught in the White Lion thank god, needed it. My leg speed is appalling.

Very steady parkrun this morning, 22.41, no pressure just need to keep going.

Steadyish run round the Valley of Desolation loop today, 4.5m 800'ish. Foot nicely on the gas for the full 600' up to Hammerthorn Gate.

I'm really impressed by your parkrun time - 22.41 whilst running at a "very steady" pace with "no pressure"? By the sound of it, you're capable of even greater speed, but for me 22.41 is unachievable ever. Come to think of it, 24.41 is also beyond my ability and 26.40 well, that's just about possible to set as a goal to work towards... maybe.

I wish I were actually GOOD at running.

Oh, and whilst on the subject of being impressed by your running, I'm also somewhat in awe of you being able to run 5.5 miles, with 800 ft ascent on your first run back from injury! You must be made of stern stuff - well done!

    Cheers, Leaf.

Two runs back to back are bad for the hip, it has been complaining today.

One 0.8m/580' ascent of Otley Chevin on saturday, 4 reps up Elbolton on sunday 0.8m/1000'. Hip joint is a bit sore.

First fast parkrun this morning, 19.46, lost it on the climb on the 3rd lap as usual.

19.46?!! Well done! Which is your home parkrun?

Mine's Fell Foot on the shores of Lake Winderemere although I went for a run in the Howgills this morning instead of parkrunning.

    19.46...!
