    LE CAMPING - HEPTONSTALL
Anyone still needing a camping pitch can just head straight to the large field behind the village bowling club (just call in to the club and check in). The site is not organised by the fell race but it does make a handy place to stay if you want to the race then see the TDF tomorrow.
There is a 25% discount for FRA members. (normally £35 per tent). The club are doing the camping as a fund raiser. They have toilets etc plus beer and food on sale. The site is 15 mins (500 feet down hill) walk from Hebden Bridge TDF hub.

Many thanks to Trig and helpers for today's grand race, like all the races from the cobbles of Heptonstall it was extremely well organised. Proper humid evening had the runners working up a major sweat, especially whilst slogging up the last climb. Hope everyone enjoys The Tour tomorrow, I'm working all day, booooo.

Lost property - Innov-8 bum bag (blue) - contains toilet roll (what else would you need in a bum bag?)

Sorry to revive an ancient thread. I'm in Heptonstall at the weekend and thought of following the route of the race. The recce route on the website differs from the actual race route because of "a private field at the beginning/end", but also takes a slightly different angle to High Brown Knoll. It looks like it's all permissive land there or rights-of-way, and the difference is pretty slight, but I wondered if there was a reason for the difference?
