A trio of us running over on Saturday from Glossop to Hebden Bridge (avoiding the slabby bits of the Pennine way).
Staying with family on the TdF route (Keighley Road).
Hope to see you at the disco if not before.
Overnight bags and dancing shoes already in HB.
Look out for the blue and orange.
Not sure if we'll make the race though.

All being well we will have a parking field for fell race participants; failing that, there is a 1 mile stretch of road on the just beyond the school that is suitable for roadside parking.

No need for advice on parking then! Good luck - how many miles is your run from Glossop to Hedben? Surely you can squeeze in another 6 (and 1500 feet of climbing)

Not so sneaky now ;-) We were about 17 miles in to a 27 mile run - I'd have turned round if I knew there was a camera about.

Good news - PARKING FIELD IS CONFIRMED - £1 donation (to Heptonstall Festival)

The field is at the top of village by the school - please don't access via village from the lower junction, but use Lee Mill Road, Draper Corner (the road that by passes the village) to access Heptonstall from the top end of village (SLACK)

    Better still come by velo...

Hi Trig, is it possible to stay overnight in the field (in the campervan?)

Roughly 30 miles door to door, keeping to the tops, and not dropping to Marsden or owt like that. It depends on what time we leave as to whether we will have re-charged batteries in HB before we crawl up the cobbled ginnel to Heptonstall. Given your race has the same stats (6m 1500') as our own Shelf Moor race we know its a wee beast. If you dont mind us slowing your sweepers down we might give it consideration.
