    Did this one today on the last day of my holidays on the edge of the Peak District. A tough little bugger with a small school fete which for me is the very essence of fell running. Great race which was more difficult than I had envisaged. (And by the way I'm not talking about the Guinea Pig race!!)

    What a great race - knee deep quagmire in the early ground, fantastically steep dragons back ridge in the middle and cheekily stampeding cattle in the final field! All set around the quaintest village scene. In my inaugural year of felling, this is currently at the top of the list for repeating next year - just great!

    Anyone know when the results of the guinea pig race will be posted?

    p.s. Nice to meet you yesterday Noel, good to put a face to the name.

    well that was an eye (and lung) opener
    first short race in two years but was so good that i think i'll do a few more
    think i'd have come in a similar position if i'd done the guinea pig race!
