Askham Fell Race 9th July

Just a reminder to people that Askham Fell Race is this Wednesday 9th July 7pm start.

It's an ease route to follow, yet still give some route choice on optnal lines.

Start is outside the Queens Head Pub.

cp 1 summit huescar Hill
cp2 summit Arthur's Pike
cp3 summit Bonscale
cp4 summit huescar hill

Finish at fell gate/ catle grid ( just before you get on the Tarmac)

Small prize giving for any runners who have finished Dockray - Hartside, Blencathra, Dockray - Great Dodd and Askham.

Currently 7 runners have done the first three.

Parking is at the village hall, and once (if) that fills then we have parking at Askham Hall. DO NOT Park on ANY village green as this will defo get the backs up from the parish and the locals and stop this race and future events happening in Askham.

Hope to see heaps of runners there.

not sure if I'll make it this year
but just to say this looks like a great route
and anyone umming and ahing about doing it should deffo get down there
I did Lakes Mountain 42 back in April and it goes up the same area and I can imagine it being superb

just a reminder that this race is on tomorrow night. village hall doors should open from 5pm ish for registration. please please only park at the village hall and once (if) this fills then at Askham Hall caffe. Which is past Queen Head pub down towards the Lowther Park, but then turn down the lane opposite the Punch Bowl Pub.

and NO parking on ANY village green please.
