Great race today guys.
Felt a bit ropey after my Friday run so stayed in yesterday feeling sorry for myself.
Late decision to get out and have a race and glad I did.
I wouldn't have wanted to be a marshall, particularly the ladies at the Tower, it was rough up there

Thanks to the organisers for another great race, which was particularly challenging in the high winds. With me being tall, light and not at peak fitness at the moment, the wind made hard work of my performance. At least the rain held off until we were in the pub :-)
Great to see that last years route was used again ~ lets hope it's a permanent one for future events.
See the light in the night
Cheers mate, as above, will pass on your comments.
Personally can't see us reverting back to the "old" route now as this one has become so popular!
I'm tall but not quite light, so I powered through the wind quite well on the flat path towards the tower, actually overtook 5 or 6 but then 3 or 4 clawed me back going up the other side of Aggies.
Only 7 days to go. If you're not racing at the Lee Mill relays then have a go at this race. We're sticking with the 2014 and 2015 route, so if you ran it pre-2014, come and give the "new" route a go, more of a "proper" fell race now, I'd say!
£5 entry on the day, 11:30 am start from the Olde England Kiosk (BB3 0LA is the postcode).
Hopefully see some of you there
Come and do the long established David Staff fell race on Sunday. Cracking route. Brilliant marshals. Great cause to raise money for. What's not to like?
