Tomorrow sees me in Bolton for an early meeting. I reckon I'll be done by about 1 so I am thinking about getting an hour or two on a hill before heading back home. I've never run around there and was thinking about Winter Hill? Suggestions please?

Only had an hour so parked at the cr park on the Belmont Road and ran past a tower and then onto rivington pike, up winter hill and then a direct line across the moor back to the car park. 50 mins and very enjoyable. Nice to bag a new peak
Was it a water tower hav,nt been down for a long time so could,nt comment on previous ?was,nt sure sure how much building work had been doxne
I'm not sure although it would appear that it's called the Pigeon tower?
