Dino - I think I'm going to do this one too, it's pretty local for me as well. If you want company for another training run let me know!

Shame this won't be quite as boggy as last year due to the stone slabs over to Keighley Gate ! I stepped in a puddle right up to my middle last year !
ooh i do like a good mud fest, entry filled and ready for postman in morning
Haven't actually been up there recently but thinking of doing a partial recce sometime soon (even though I know it backwards by now) so will have a look. I imagine this might actually get me a much faster time though, bog stuff does seem to sap my strength quite a lot, so I should have much more left for the final climb if this section has been sorted out a bit.

I preferred the more recent years when it's been frozen and covered with snow. There's nothing like running down the moors in 6 inches of virgin powder without a care in the world, kicking up the ice crystals onto the breeze and feeling them caress your face. The bog skin still bounced like a big trampoline, though. Only an ice age would deep freeze that.
That's my entry in................
i run out of cheques in my cheque book so have to wait for new one before i can post entry
I do this every year as well. No excuses not to since I live about 800metres from the start. It also has the best cake:miles ratio of any other event I've done.
