I've run this the past two years and both times its come up just short of 22m for me on the garmin. Could have been shorter (or faster) if I turned back over Chevin from East Quarry car park rather than running through it and back over on the rough track. I was fitter this year but only a minute or two faster, the conditions obviously played their part.

Great event again, hats off to organisers and the poor, cold, volunteers, manning checkpoints.

Yes steve, i chatted with her at the start. Don't know her as such but she runs for a club near me. Nice lady. She said she's doing the Marathon de sables to see if its that hard lol. Look out for her running the Badwater too.
Don't know where she finished , but one impressive lady.

The hardest bit for me was just after the trig on rombalds moor, normally you know what to expect - ankle deep, occasional knee hole and a face full, but this time, creak, creak (will it hold????) and then CRACK!!!. Nasty cut adn graze down both chins from the ice. As it was so cold, i didnt notice untill Burley Woodhead ("that looks nasty", said the lady serving buns!) The other bit for me was not knowing where the stones/rocks were under the snow - whet over on the same anke twice - never again! Even after all this whinging (it is my way of taking my mind of the running pains), i still did a personal best!!!! I'm already looking forward to next week's post race whinge! Bring it on.....

I dunno, unless I cut down on the ale, before too long I could graze both chins in a race ...

Well our club results are available but I don't know where Paul got them from. If he reads this maybe he can post a link.
