The ratification spreadsheets contain splits for individual tops which are added to give splits for each leg. I'm looking at making this and other data available but it will be anonymous so you won't get data like:

Bob Wightman, Male, clockwise, 2005, May, etc, etc.

Most of the data is still on the paper sheets used prior to me taking up the membership secretary role so it's all got to be transferred over.

If you can get hold of a copy of Fred Rogerson's "History and Records of Notable Fell Walks in the Lake District 1864 to 1978", you will find detailed data about all successful attempts between 1972 and 1978.

From memory, Fred did the leg work and set out leg times for all successful rounds over that period.

Bob, I'm not suggesting you do the same.....;-)

Morgan: Notable Fell Walks has the ratification forms and reports for the first 50 members

Not a lot of work for the ongoing ratifications but quite a bit going back to get the historical data done.

When I disposed of Bill Smith's library in 2012 his personal copy was placed in the FRA Library.

For those who do not know: it is not a "book" but duplicated, typewritten, foolscap sheets in a card folder. I think Fred also produced a supplement but I may mis-remember.

    A copy is extremely rare.

Graham, yes it was more along the lines of an old style portfolio. I think there were only 100 copies "printed" - printing was probably via an old Gestetner copier http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestetner or similar hence the limited run. I remember school had one and you had to hand-turn the machine once per copy but you'd only get so many copies per charge of ink. NFW certainly had the Gestetner "look".

There was a supplement - the copy I saw was printed on a variety of different coloured paper but I didn't see any logic behind the colours.
