I used to hate it but now an acquired taste. Definitely helps in the last few miles of a longer race

I’d love to reap the benefits but can’t even stomach it if I hold my nose,I do like pickled beetroot but don’t think it,would have the same effect

I remember being given borscht a few times in my youth, which I quite liked. But I was also sometimes given pickled beetroot: I believe the punishment should fit the crime, so the inventor of pickled beetroot should be suspended in vinegar until his flesh becomes flabby and tasteless.

I was put off eating beetroot for many years, but recently I tried some, and found that raw beetroot, sliced in a salad, was quite pleasant. But I don't like it cooked or pickled in any way.
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

Sad to see Neil Black has fallen victim to the fallout from this. He was pushed before he jumped but I think he would have jumped anyway given his previous published statements about Salazar. The WADA ban made Neils position untenable.
