    Trackers 27/28 June

A slightly crazy week ahead so I'm trying to do a few things earlier.. a little bike ride that I organise is pre-occupying a little time.. in case you fancy it for 2015 www.opencycling.com

Needless to say this week we have 160ish trackers out on the Dragons Back Race - you can find them here http://www.dragonsbackrace.com/live-tracking/ this is also a live leaderboard running (see links on the left). The leaderboard data comes from the trackers (bit like where the times appear on BG's).

Steve Rhodes / Josh Jardine- http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=14 start Saturday 7 pm
Claire Holdcroft - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=31 start Friday 6 pm
Martyn James - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=32 start Saturday 1 am
Rob Pilling - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=33 start Saturday 1 am
David Butterfield - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=38 start Friday 3.15 am

Meltham AC - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=20 start midnight Friday (run Saturday)
Keswick AC VETs - http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2015.cfm?n=29 start 3am on Saturday

Trackers also on Thames Ring (starts Wednesday although a few set off this weekend to do the double).. its only 250 miles http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/thamesring15.cfm / also on support staff for the Ultimate Trails 110 / 10in10 / Cleveland Way Relay / Derbyshire 100.. and importantly Rob Whiteman taking on a 300km cycle ride (will let him post that link).

    No worries

Since it isn't BG related I've put the details of my challenge here - http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showt...414#post611414

We are on a 23 hour pace, we should be at Sergeant Man about 04.45 and Rossett Pike for 06.15 all being well. Would be great to see you if you are out and about.

I supported Steve and Josh on leg 2 and they were both on good form. Looks like they have lost a bit of time on leg 3, conditions will have been far from ideal. Hope they can make it up on 4.

They were spot on time til about Ill Crag, but lost a bit of time over the wet rock and horrific wind about Broad Crag. Just standing up was difficult. They're in good spirits and well on for a completion.

Congrats to rob brown and sam hill for their joint completion yesterday in 21.44 in mainly awful conditions but especially leg 3. Was out on leg 4 with them and typically sun came out as they left honister. Not sure if it was one of steve or josh we kept seeing all of leg 4 but they were looking strong and had good finish in keswick.

That is good to hear, the tracker seemed to have quit at Kirk Fell, just a case of a helper diverted off and did not pass it on at Honister.

A quick thanks from everyone at Meltham AC for the support we received on our Billy Bland Challenge run, especially the great lads from Heptonstall Hurriers. We watched Keswick disappear over the horizon and made it to Moot Hall about 8 hours after they did, but for our little club we are thrilled just to have got round - especially starting Leg 4 around 16.30 when the weather came in and never went away...
Shaved my dreads off...now just 'Jeff'...
