fly out on the 18th June the 'race' is the 22nd the sunday....fly home again the monday although will probably need wheeling to the plane!!

It's 4 weeks on sunday....not that I'm counting!

Didn't realise this was on your calender... meant to be pretty if a little hilly... good luck to you both. I'd not fancy a long swim in the sea personally, but that's probably because I'm quite aware of my own mortality and have been put off by those infamous pics of the Hayle Middle distance swim a couple years ago in monstrous seas!!!

I thought you were planning to do Bala Middle... is that going to mark the start of your taper?

Pretty much yes.........Cheshire sprint this weekend then Bala then Nice....probably a flat long slow pootle the sunday before we fly on the wednesday...

After 4 hours in the chuffing freezing colder than cold lake ulswater on saturday coping with the wind and waves I did think I'd bitten off more than I could chew but hey ho in for a penny - no backing out now.....so 3 weeks to master OW swimming
