Excellent effort. I still have a desire to have a crack at it. I was going to try and time it so that I went via the Brackenclose campite, and via the honnister quarry cafe to re supply. But now I'm thinking that wouldn't be as stylish as the way you did it. It may even fall into the supported category as well? I need to stop entering races and I may even fit it in one year. I'm 42 next year so maybe I should make an effort to give it a go then.

Great effort! I'm in awe of anyone that solo's the BGR, especially within the 24hr! Great having the kit list and great write up!! Cheers!

Thanks Alan. I'd agree in that using the campsite and mine cafe would probably be classed as support. Keep entering races, just do the long stuff....

Thanks Matt - you have helped me to decide that my next attempt will be "very minimal" - probably not entirely solo/unsupported but veering that way

Thinking of doing the same thing myself Daz.

Been busy doing triathlon last couple of years but I'm planning to be back on the fells with a solo(ish) BG pencilled in for June next year

Will - great news that you are returning to the fells! I'll email you and hopefully we can meet up for some training days out over the next few months...?
