Well, exactly 1 week on from the operation here is an update.
I was advised to keep moving but very gently. I have walked between 2.5 & 3.5miles every day.
The pain killers have now run out. Today is 1st day with no medication.
The dressing was changed on Friday at the doctors and Wednesday the stitches will be removed.
The walking will be a minimum of 3m this week.
No running until my 6 week assessment and device reprogramming.
Not felt anything different in the heart just soreness around the wound.
Only change is sleeping. I have had 7 to 9+ but most importantly no reason to wake and that has left me feeling much better in myself.
Thanks again to everyone.
Update
Stiches taken out after 2 weeks.
Scare healing nicely.
Shoulder still struggling for movement and muscles around the scare very tender.
Started walking out but have to put hand in pocket to reduce movement.
Sleeping 9/10 hours per night. Feeling much better.
Great news Trev. Keep us posted on further progress please

Following the consultant's suggestions of gentle walking to encourage healing and promote gentle bloody circulation to avoid clotting. I embarked on a potter every day in addition to dog walks. 30 walks later and I've just clocked up 150 miles on todays effort.
Hope the consultant gives me the green light to return to training next Wednesday.
Back at work next Monday fit and healthy.
Good stuff Trev. Good luck next week
