I guess I meant specialist rather than elitist. Not your typical event you can just rock up to and hope to get round by following those in front.

Interesting. I've done it before, but don't get any of these emails (I do get them for other events, Saunders, LAMM, etc).

I've only done it once though - September tends to be when we go on our main holiday.

David, have you not thought that the "low" ( or maybe that should be "current") number of entrants is all part and parcel of what makes it your favourite event of the year?
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Entries for the 2016 LDMT are now open. Quite a slow uptake so far as at the moment it's me versus Wendy Dodds! Podium place if I can manage to finish it :-)

Will definitely be entering nearer the time as long as current injury list doesn't get any longer!

That's my thinking as well... Followed by the Rab MM later in the month. I ran the medium last year, I might step up to classic and suffer with everyone else!

Yes I entered the full trial last year, got injured in June and by the time September came around I was just about capable of the short! Enjoyed it nonetheless and with the current crop of injuries I'd be happy to make the start in the short again.

Looking forward to this weekend - my comeback from another few months out recuperating from injury. Not much training this year and still not 100% so only doing the short (again!)

i'll be heading up Saturday and I don't know the Lakes at all really. Is there a chip shop between the motorway and Seathwaite? Having struggled with stones in my shoes in the past is there likely to be much scree? I'll don my little gaiter things if so.
