What a lightweight, you could've ran to Wasdale, but no you had to take the easy option, a bloomin' car Call yessen a runner? Pfft

Top stuff Daz. Still inspirational mate. I haven't raced in ages and this just makes me want to get off my arse and do something about it. Catch you at one soon hopefully. Fresh? doesnt matter! :-)

    Daz,

Well done mate!Just out of interest, what did you have to eat/drink between finishing Langdale and starting Wasdale?

    Thanks for the comments guys.

After Langdale I had a carton of semi-skinned milk ,which had gone warm in the car, yuk!.... and one chicken paste sandwich, this had also gone warm and started to sweat, double yuk!

When i arrived at Wasdale I filled up a litre bottle with water, drank it and rid my mouth of the chicken paste sweaty butties.

There we have it. The breakfast ( or lunch) of champions. Warm milk n sweaty butties. Reminds me of when i used to drink in the top house, an old stocky farmer in there used to put his muscular physique down to his diet. "Bread pobs", he'd say, whilst patting his bicep.
    Good effort Darren!

light weight!!! I was impressed when I first saw the post that you had run Langdale then driven to wasdale and done another long classic. imagine my disappointment when you had only done a short bofra type race..

    Well done Darren great effort..

Having gone the 'direct' route up Kirkfell on a training run recently (about 40 of the most uncomfortable minutes of my life), I can barely imagine racing up it fresh, never mind after Langdale. Well done...!

I had an inking who you were at the start of the race but was surprised when you overtook me half way up Kirk Fell. I definitely wasn't cooking on gas with the ends of a virus and a lower back injury. Imagine my surprise then when I realised I had been leading over an established fell runner!?

All makes sense now, very well done maestro!
