Ingleton to Dent is a lovely run, but you're unlikely to get lost there on race day.

I did Missed the Gragareth checkpoint and had to go back for it I also learnt not to take old official route from fleet moss or end up in a bog to chest height

1. Heading across to Blea Moor from Dent
2. The routes up to Dodd Fell and down to Fleet Moss
3. Yockenthwaite Moor (obviously). Try to find what's left of the Blue Mug.
4. From Buckden Pike to the finish (as most people do this in the dark).

I'd agree with 1 - 4 above. Especially the route off Dodd Fell down to Fleet Moss, I never seemed to get it right and always ended up in some sort of a quagmire.

Haha the route off Dodd Fell is 'great'. The trod disappears into a quagmire a couple of times and can be tricky to pick up again. I 'think' me and Hester got a good line this year

I paid £50 for the last event - that included sleeping at the school on the Friday evening (which works quite well, very large sports hall). Guess there will be a modest increase for 2016. Really fantastic value as the checkpoint food is top notch.

My plan is to not fall over again on Ingleborough summit and have to retire at Kingsdale checkpoint. Rather annoying.......but maybe saved me from the later weather suffer-fest.
