    Mountain Marathon Pack

    Hi,

I'm looking into getting a pack of around 30l for 2 day MM ran as a pair. Is this generally big enough?'m sure the OMM 32l classic will do the job, yet it seems a bit steep at around £80.

Has anyone any experience of running with the alpkit gourdon 30? I like the simple design and especially the price at £25!

    Thanks for any input.

30L might be too big for what you need, if your pack is too big, you'll just keep filling it with kit.
A 25L may suit be better.
If you get one don't take the tags off, pack the bag and then try it on. If it feels uncomfortable, repack and try again, if it's still not right send it back.
Have a look at the Lowe Alpine packs as an alternative, they're a bit cheaper than the OMM sacs.

Buy a few bags of different sizes. Get all your kit you want to take. Discard frivolous items. Pack new streamlined kit into bags. Jump around house/do the cleaning with the bag on. Keep the comfiest. Send all the others back.

You can get the old inov8 range at knockdown prices if you look around. I have a gourdon pack for my bike commute, not sure I'd like to run with it though.
