Took my new pair of microspikes out yesterday.
Worn over a pair of Running Bear Ground Control
Macclesfield Forest(Standing Stone) to Shutlingslow, Cumberland Brook to Cat+Fiddle, Shining Tor, Lamaload then back to Standing Stone.
I was really impressed.
I could run down the northern(steep) face of Shutlingslow better than if it was a dry summer day.
Slipped them off on the tarmac stretches, wore them most of the rest of the way in 3-4" of snow, brilliant over compacted paths and ice. No problem on e.g. other peoples sledge and ski(!) tracks, downhill
Bought the tote bag(the package was a Christmas present to self) and tucked it into mesh pocket of rucsac when not needed. On and off in 20 seconds easy.
Didn't know I was wearing them, except for the amazing traction.
I'll use them again. Recommended+++
