All Round Do It All Shoes

Hi, what are the best all rounder hybrid shoes for wet slippery winter long distance hike/run on roads and wet hills ?i picked up brooks adrenaline asr gtx on ebay for 50 pounds last month and tested on 48km hike including 1030m ascent.it felt great on roads but bit dodgy in mud.are ankle length booots good since i wont use them for serious races/runs? Has to have good stability support as just back from knee surgery.prefer gtx version just for general fast distance walking during winter.thanks

I used the Salomon Speedcross for a fair while and do intend to get some more. Nice all round shoe, possibly would wear quite quickly if used on a lot of road. Otherwise I have a pair of Salomon Sense (not S-Lab) and thery've been a good all round trail shoe but don't inspire real confidence as fell shoes, whereas Salomon S-Lab sense are possibly the reverse......not sure I've helped tbh! :/

I like Brooks Cascadia as an all rounder. Good on roads, trails and very grippy for a trail shoe. Not sure if you can get trx version though.

Thanks everyone.i dont mind bit of extra weight as long as its not slippery on wet grounds i can live with that.
