Todays recovery soup has an extra red onion ,may thicken it with some milled linseed for the the omega 3 ,don't fancy putting oily fish in my soup
Todays special ingredient was chickpeas ( very easy to digest and a good source of protein ) in my Moroccan halloumi stew , accompanied with Spicy Moroccan rice with tomatoes and peppers .
Having run out of my usual chicken stock cubes I substituted veggie ones and was very pleased with the results ...completely vegetarian today again
Looking forwards to my black pudding tomorrow may have it with garlic mushrooms and thick chorizo Mmmm
My fave recovery food is a rather large helping of home made curry and rice! Made a real nice sweet tat and white tat curry the other day, it did not last long haha!
I think drinking plenty of water after a run is very important as the first stage of recovery, followed by some snap.
