On my recent visit to Leicestershire I saw a huge area just off the A444/A42 island being ploughed up by several JCB style diggers. I wasn't aware of any planned development in the area, as it's agricultural land and I believe green belt, (not that it counts for much any more). Will see if I can find out more.

On the plus side for you, AK, a lot of it will be in Derbyshire by the looks of it.

Further to the above, the A444/A42/M42 development is 'A new high-quality employment park for North West Leicestershire', on 238 acres of agricultural land that could result in up to 3400 jobs.

So there's all that derelict coal-mining land a few miles to the north, and they have to plonk it on agricultural land, well away from any railways so that all the transport will have to be by car and lorry. The planners have lost the plot yet again.

Nice to see the Brexiters sticking to their guns.
That's about 4billion in tax he's taking with him.

The Brexit related comment that has always tickled me is the one from the irrepressible Arthur Daley back in the late 70's / early 80's:- "What your average British businessman does not appear to understand is that Europe is full of foreigners with no sense of fair play!"
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Country will be better without Europe.

Less silly laws and time to make Britain Great again.
