    Smile Fresh on the fells

So, I've been reading these forums for months now, trying to glean as much information as possible. I've been running about on the roads in Leeds for a few years, and on the moor in Ilkley and the Otley Chevin for the last year or so. I finally bit the bullet and last week I did my first fell race: Ilkley Moor.

I loved it. Tough short course. Nice atmosphere. Great fun. I'm here to stay. Looking forward to getting to know some of you as I run some more races.

Good Man. Try joining a club - some good fell ones around Leeds. Otley AC are all over the Chevin twice a week - the darker and muddier the better.

Thanks Calvin for the welcome. Yes, hopefully see you at a couple of races during the year.

Matt, I am a member of a running club already but it's not a specialist fell running club. There's one of those just round the corner from my house and I do plan on getting out with them midweek once the evenings get a bit brighter.

Dave, thanks for reading it. Yes, running is addictive and running on the fells, even more so.

Just get out and do one - There is no wrong Fell race, maybe not an AL (long and hard) for starters.
